Construction and assembly of sulfuric acid storage tanks

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

In the period from April to November 2014, two sulfuric acid storage tanks were erected with the following characteristics:

• Diameter – 28500mm
• Height – 10,000mm
• Volume – 6,000 m3
• Material – steel plate 8-22mm thick, 263 t, quality A516Gr70+NR

Mounting of the tank floor and sides is done on the spot while the tank roof (diameter: 29m, weight: 58t) is pre-assembled about 80m away from the tanks and then in one piece lifted and mounted on top of the tanks.
